My Culinary experience and Techniques~~

     Cooking has always been more than just a hobby for me. It is a passion that has shaped my life and continues to inspire my mind and future. The kitchen has a place of curiosity and wonder before, but now is become a place that let me relax where I experiment with flavors, refine, techniques and create dishes that bring happiness to others who I love. My cooking journey has taught me a lot of lessons that not only limit in kitchen.

    First lessons that I learned in cooking is the importance of using fresh, high-quality ingredients. Ingredients is basic of all the dishes just like a planning is the basic of a project. If the basic is in the bad quality will let the result become worst. Fresh ingredients not only improve the flavor of a dish, also reflect a respect for nature and the seasons. I always remember that the taste and aromas of the dish which using the fresh ingredients left a lasting impression on me. After that, I have made it a point to source my ingredients locally whenever possible just like to do the snow mochi, I went to my uncle's orchard to get the fresh durians and mango. Cooking with the fresh or seasonal produce let people to taste the most delicious and authentic taste of fresh ingredients. This practice has also taught me to grateful the hard work of farmer and cherish all the ingredients.



    In cooking, mastering the use of kitchen tools is crucial and knowledge of these tools can greatly increase the efficiency and quality of your dishes. In my cooking life, I was fascinated by the array of tools available from simple such like knife to specialized gadgets like the chopper or food mixer. Learning to use these tools effectively has made a huge difference in my cooking process. For instance, my knife skills are not good and I cannot cut the ingredients into the same size quickly which made my dishes look bad, but when I buy the chopper everything is become difference.  Food mixer also is a good helper when I doing the dessert. Those not only sped up my prepare work, also ensured consistency in my dishes and keeps my hand muscles from getting sore like after a workout. Understanding the purpose and proper use of each kitchen tool, from the chopper to the blender, food processor, and mandoline has allowed me to work more efficiently and confidently in the kitchen, making my cooking experience both enjoyable and productive.


    I most love the part in cooking is the freedom to experiment with flavors and techniques. My family and I are light food lover. We don't like too sweet, salty and oily. This lead to most of the restaurant are not our taste and forcing us to experiment with flavors in our kitchen. Although some of the experiments ended in failure but every experiment has taught me something new, continuous trying and hard work also bring me closer and closer to success. I often watching the cooking shows from YouTube and TikTok tutorials and even dishes I tasted at restaurants. For example, my first attempt at making steamed eggplant with garlic was inspired by a Chinese restaurant I visited in Johor Bahru. The process of cooking eggplant with garlic was not perfect, but let me know that patience is very importance in doing everything. Experiments not only increase my cooking skill and also make me in curiosity and creativity in explore knowledge.

    Heat control is a fundamental skill that can make or break a dish but is most harder to master it. When the time that I just started my cooking journey, I often found myself either burning my food or undercooking it due to poor heat control. Over to keeps trying, I learned to recognize the small hint that indicate when to adjust the heat such as the thickness of a sauce. It allowed me to cook with confidence and precision. Heat control has taught me the importance of timing and pay attention to the detail.

     I will continue my cooking journey and have ambitious goals for the future. I hope to share my passion for cooking with more people via this blog and also aspire to travel the world, tasting and learning from different culinary. I dream of create a dish that is uniquely my own which reflects my love for cooking and hope it can bring happiness as well as create a special memories to others.
